Hayley Houchen, Varsity Coach
Hayley is 25 years old, grew up in Peculiar, Missouri and has been dancing since she could walk. Competing regionally and nationally as a child helped form her passion of teaching dance. After graduating from Ray-Pec High School she traveled the country teaching camps for UDA (Universal Dance Association), danced for the Missouri Comets Major Indoor Soccer league for one season and was a Kansas City Chiefs Cheerleader for five years. She has trained with numerous master instructors, taught dance for 5 years at various Kansas City studios and has coached the Ray-Pec High School Dance Team for five years. While coaching the Prowlers they took 17th in the Nation at UDA Nationals with the Pom routine she choreographed. She has a love for children, teaching, and dance; and strives to share her passion with the youth she encounters.
Ashley Vaters, JV Coach
Ashley is entering her fifth year as the Coach of the JV Prowler Dance Team. She started dancing when she was 3 years old and dance has become a huge part of her life ever since. She began dancing at Broadway Babies in Raymore, MO. and later moved to Mia's Elite School of Dance in Belton, MO., studying various styles of dance. She is a Prowler dance team alum having been a member all four years of high school. After graduation, she landed a spot as a member of the Missouri Comets Major Indoor Soccer League dance team for a year and furthered her resume as a KC Chiefs Cheerleader for two years. She has taught at several local studios and currently teaches competitive dance. She’s excited and honored to be back with this amazing program as a coach (as we are!) and looks forward to what the 2016-2017 season has in store for these girls.
